Downgrade. First Blog.

It has to be done. I'm selling a good portion of my fish and such.

I'm trying to go from 3 tanks to 1 in the next month. I just don't have the time to do it, and why do I need to have fish at home when 2 full days a week I get to play with the biggest group of aquaria in the boston area?

Can't wait to get my membership and start giving behind the scene tours.

Albums of interest.

Nice one = Andy Timmons - "Resolution"

Amazing Guitarist in the vein of Joe Satriani, even for those that have never listened to instrumental rock, this is a very accessible album. Some amazing phrasing and well put together songs. I haven't heard an instrumental rock album like this in a good year or two.

Evil one = 1349 - "Beyond the Apocalypse"

This is downright nasty (in a great way) Black metal from Norway of course. The drummer is the ridiculous Frost from Satyricon, that means blast beats galore. I saw them live with a host of other death metal and grindcore bands at the Exhume to Consume tour about a month ago and seeing them live quickly rekindled my interest.

On the musical subject....

I used to be a metallica fan up to a few years ago when I really got into metal. To be fair, I'm not a huge thrash fan anyways so I'm not the most informed in the subject either.

I don't understand how Metallica can continue to put out utter trash (not thrash) and hit the billboard charts. I guess it's just their name and they will sell anything they put out there but at some point are people going to realize that this is garbage?

In the 80's they were a solid thrash band. I don't see anything after 1990 as being above average. Kirk Hammett is a very mediocre guitarist (enough with the wah pedal buddy), Lars is god awful but I think thats common knowledge. James is still declining, but that is to be expected for his type of vocals for such a prolonged time. Now I actually think Trujillo isn't awful, but only because he resembles an orangutan on stage. Not that I think that he was actually the whole band but I do think its true when people say that when Cliff died, Metallica died.

The might have been better if they kept the Davinator. At least he can consistently put out albums I can at least get through once.

I know a bunch of people who assumed I'm going to attend the show in January, but I have a lot of awkward conversations to start....

Ok. I'm done with music.

.............................................

I have not watched a sox game in 2 weeks.

Note : its not because I don't want to...I just don't have cable *flameshield up*.

............................................

Accidentally stumbled upon insaniquarium deluxe in a folder from junior year of college. Big mistake, now my hands ache from clicking too much.

I'm about to read The God Delusion, in theory I shouldn't have a problem with this but I'm not a huge "reading books" fan.

and.......Here's yet another ridiculous guitarist..... At least check out the little thing around 1:03. It makes me jealous a lil.
